About university of phoenix

A campus to call your own.
Campus-based programs at University of Phoenix provide working professionals the opportunity to experience real classroom learning, student interaction, and a staff of professionals eager to serve you. With locations nationwide, our campus learning system places you in an environment where you can further your educational goals without the obstacles of everyday distractions.
The University's innovative format makes higher education more accessible, efficient and relevant to the real world.
It emphasizes active participation over passive lectures, enabling students to leverage their experience. Classes are kept small to encourage interaction and learning from each other.

Interact with instructors and peers.
You'll be in small classes that foster teamwork and individual attention. This environment will provide you with a safe place to debate, practice, try out new ideas, and hone your communication and leadership skills. You'll also work in small learning teams of 3-5 students on projects and assignments, where mutual support and collaboration replicates typical work environments and helps you develop skills that lead to success at work.

Traditional campus feel, non-traditional schedule
Although you will experience a real campus feel, our non-traditional schedule enables you to complete your degree in a more reasonable timeframe. You'll take one course at a time, each typically 5 or 6 weeks in length, and you can pay for your tuition on a course-by-course basis as you go.

You'll learn from faculty with advanced degrees who average 16 years of professional experience in their fields. Our requirement for experienced faculty is what makes them so good at helping you understand not just the theory of a subject, but also its practical application in the real world.

The option of mixing campus and online learning
If you find it hard to schedule all your courses on campus, you may want to consider FlexNet®, a combination of campus and online learning that allows you to maintain your on-campus relationships. Call your counselor for details.
